Hello my name is Tim Maycock and I am the new centre director for Heartland Youth for Christ (HYFC). 

 Some of you may remember me from when I last worked for HYFC about a year and half ago, well I back. They always say once you have worked for Youth for Christ you can never get away. Its great to be back and getting stuck in to the work of spreading the gospel message in this area.

 A bit about me for those who don’t know…..

 I was born and brought up in the leafy lands of Surrey till the age of 20  where I trained as a landscape gardener and ran my own business. Testing my call to full time youth work I moved to Stoke for 6months to work with North Staffs Youth for Christ, which then led me into doing a university degree in youth and community work with applied theology, with a placement here in Coalville with HYFC for 3 years.

 After finishing my degree I felt it was right for me to stay in this area even though there were no full time youth work jobs. So for the last year I have been landscaping gardening, doing youth work for the council, line managing a youth worker and working as centre manager for Margaret Street Church and not to forget I got married so I have been busy.

 My Passions apart from my relationship with God and my wife…….

 □        To see young people in relationship with God working together, taking responsibility for reaching there friends and others for God.

 □        Seeing the church come together as God planed. I mean that we learn to work together, respect, honour, love, support, share resources, pray, worship together.

 I hope this has given you a insight into who I am and what I am about . I am looking forward to what this year has in store for the kingdom of God.
